Construction: Green Screen and Sound Effects

In our opening we have found and inserted a green screen clip from youtube and are using it in our opening which is shown in the screenshots below. we chose to add the recording clip to make are opening seem as it is self recorded. When we searched for the clip we had to make sure that it was green so when we edited the clip it would go within the layers. this left us with the filming frame we

This is a screen shot of the recording of the green screen which has been embedded onto the computer ready to be imported on premiere pro.

In this screenshot we have placed the green screen on top of the self recording footage.

This is what the footage looks like when the green screen has been placed over the video.

This is an edit with the sound and the green screen added. The next step is to add the titles.

Construction: Evidence of Post-Production Phase

These are screen shots of us adding sounds to our opening. as we still needed to hear the sound we had to make sure the sound levels weren't too high but we also didn't want to have it too low so you couldn't really hear it. We experimented with different kinds of sounds too make sure it fitted well into our opening such as, instrumental sound, natural sound, upbeat sound. We decided to go for natural sound as we felt like it would suit our 'horror movie opening' object more. Before we decided which sound we wanted to use we research up different horror movie openings so we could compare the music which we found worked best, then interpret this into our openings.

The screenshots below show how we have inserted and found a green screen clip in which we wanted to use within our opening. We had to find a green screen clip of a recording frame as the green would go within the layers in editing and would allow us to be left with the filming frame we wanted. We had to find a green screen filming frame that had a clear quality. When adding the green screen to our first cut we had to paste and repeat the green screen along and cut to the shots.

This is a short edit that includes sound and using the green screen within the opening. The next stage we had to do is add the titles in. When we did the titles we will have to position the titles correct on the screen so you will be able to see them.

Construction: Evidence of Raw Footage

This is the first raw footage of our first edit. These are screenshots to show the different stages within our editing process. It  is before we have added any effects or sound. These screenshots show that the clips are a rough cut towards the final cut.

This is raw footage of our first edit. We haven't added any sound or effects. We found that the quality was great as we used a Canon 1200D DSLR camera with a 15-35mm lens.

Construction: Evidence of Filming Taking Place

Behind the scenes

These are the behind the scene photos which were taking during the filming process. these include us in the filming process; setting up the sets; directing the actors/actresses.

These are pictures to show the filming process and how the camera was set up on the tripod to get a steady camera shot.

Planing: Testing Camera Before Main Task

This is a test to see how the filming quality is before filming out main task so we can get used to the camera before.  by doing this experiment it has allowed us to understand the different settings on the camera so when filming we can make sure the right setting on the camera is used to get the quality of raw footage in which we need when editing.
